Mr. Hyde (1932)

Frederick March in the same role but from the 1932 version. March won an Academy Award for Best Actor for his performance, the first for a horror film. Despite his achievement, there was a major downside for him in portraying this character. That was the painful effects of the Mr. Hyde make-up that he wore. After filming was completed, March spent an extended stay at a hospital, as the facial distorting appliances almost permanently disfigured him.
